Mirror Recommendations
« on: February 22, 2013, 02:36:56 PM »
Anyone have any recommendations on mirrors for an LS bike with the short bars ?

The mirrors that came with the bike are woefully inadequate .

Not fond of bar end mirrors, they would be a last resort .

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

I'd be interested in getting your old short mirrors once you find something you like better.

One good source of mirrors, long or short, believe it or not, is the harley shop. They've got some that work perfectly and look like the european police mirrors - rectangular. Good chrome and fit right in the proper spot. They're also cheap - less than twenty bucks each. I think they were for a sportster, if that helps at all.

I've had a second hand pair of Harley mirrors on my bike for a dozen years, they are very good. They bolt on easily and don't suffer from vibration or work loose.
They were also the closest thing to the factory mirrors that came on my bike but I've never seen pictures of another LS with chrome, rectangular long stalk mirrors?
The sportster (I guess) mirrors are slightly squarer than the OEM BMW ones but are well made with good optics.
