Wiring hazard warning lights

I am fairly new at electrical.I have an 83' r65. Looked at one of the posts titled "cheap 4-way flashers", saw the wiring diagram but can't figure out where the green/violet wire from the hazard relay and the blue/yellow wire go. I believe the hooks up to the diode, but then what? Please Help! If any one has any photos of factory wired hazards that are showing the blue/yellow and green/violet wires and where they go that would be greatly appreciated.

The large wiring diagram of the hazard flasher, is only good for the '78-'80 year bikes .

It's nowhere near compatible with the '81 model year and later bikes .

I installed an OEM kit on my '81 R65, took two-three weeks to get it right .

The green violet wire goes to one side of the diode the other side of the diode has a green black wire from the fuse .

The blue yellow comes from the hazard flasher switch to the original turn directional relay and then becomes a jumper wire between the turn directional relay ans the hazard flasher relay .

I am so sorry for posting in the wrong location. Being on a forum is very new to me. Thanks for the welcome greeting. I will attempt to introduce myself and the reason for joining.
I have resurrected an old 1983 r65. Now the special thing about this bike is that my father bought it new and it was the very first bike with a clutch I learned to ride. I would like to surprise my dad by adding many of the original accessories he always talked about but never had the time to add. I have rebuilt the carbs, redone the tank, found the luggage cases he always talked about, wired the accessory clock and voltmeter, replaced the cracked dash, etc. It is almost done. Just need a little help from a very knowledgeable group of guys with a passion for keeping these bikes in service. I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Thanks for the helpful advice Bob. I'll try it . But not sure where the blue/ yellow wire will plug into. Is it in place of the green/black that is now on the diode?

Hi, I'm just fighting my bike to repair my indicator / flasher circuit on my 1981 R65. It appears there is a lack of circuits around showing the flasher circuit in the bike.  I'm not sure if i've just blown another brand new flasher switch or not due to the lack of documentation around to show me how the switch behaves. There is a circuit on snowbums website at http://bmwmotorcycletech.info/misclelectrical.htm but the scan is a little pixelised and hard to read. I have emailed him and asked nicely if he has a better copy of the circuit diagram.  My diode has 2 green/black wires on one side (anode) , and green/violet on the other side (cathode, has a white bar) The green/violet goes directly to the switch socket. The blue/yellow wire goes to a relay pin87 and then also connects to pin49 on the flasher relay.

My issue at the moment is the hazards work, but not the individual side flashers. If I remove the hazard switch and short out blue/yellow with green/violet, I can get my indicators to work.  Very frustrating chasing circuit with no documentation, and I've been in the electronics industry for 30 years.
