Sue, I just read the entire description and it certainly is described as being for a 'behind the fork leg and left side". That be your LRB.

Just tell 'em you want that flippin' bleeder screw pre-installed.

As far as I know, the OEM F08's the dual shock R65 comes with uses a 36mm piston; whereas the F08 the Ducati's use have a larger 38mm piston.

Although the some of the 38mm piston versions will fit the R65, I dunno what will happen if you use a 36mm piston on one side and a larger 38mm piston on the other with respect to dual disc systems.

The only bike I know of that also uses this 36mm F08 is the R100 for it's rear disc.

Does anyone have a cross reference for these calipers? What other bikes did they come on?

You're sure the rear 100 disc caliper is the same as our front? Must be a left side.

As for mis-matched calipers, I've gotta think it's no big deal. Hell, how much more of a mis match can you have with a caliper completely missing from the left side? I've run mis matched pads left to right and never noticed the difference.

While it might seem an odd thing to do and it would put more braking force through one leg than the other I can't see any problem at all for the reasons already mentioned.

It reminds me of how we go to great lengths to balance the fork oil levels in each fork leg to get the forces equal and then BMW go and introduce a fork that has compression damping on one side and rebound on the other.

The left side F08 caliper currently attached on my R65 right now came from an R100 rear. It has a 36mm piston.

The same R100 from which I took the rear brakes from had a unique yet still an F08 caliper with both the BMW and Brembo logo upfront. It has a 38mm piston. It does not fit the R65.

I cannot confirm wether or not the R100 rear brake is the same as the OEM F08 for the R65. I'm getting two different sizes from three different forums. I just need the piston size from an OEM F08 R65 caliper to confirm.

Hey there. I'm looking for a rebuild kit for my ATE calipers. My pistons are 36mm and the website you list only have 38mm unless there is something I'm missing. Thanks guys!

Just bought a rebuild kit with brake pads from motobins.com at about 1/3 the price  delivered to my house as compared to the bmw dealership up my street.
