Reinstalling Engine With or Without Transmission?
« on: June 21, 2012, 07:36:52 AM »
I was wondering which in the long run is easier to do? Is it easier to install the engine and then attach the transmission or just put them in as a unit?  thanks, D2

IMO...  It's easier to install just the engine and get it squared away, then tuck in the gear box. Especially true if you're doing the work solo. A helper can be a godsend.

With that pretty and freshly painted frame, use lots of blue painters tape -easy release adhesive- to prevent chips and scratches. Use several layers to cover anything close to the engine and trans areas.
