where to send my 1984 heads for valve seats

Just curious, is there a problem with the valve seats, or just doing it precautionary ?

Both Anton L and Tom Cutter of Rubber Chicken Racing know Airheads. Both will provide superior services but be prepared to get in line as their craftsmanship and reputations precede them. That's not necessarily a bad thing as it will give you time to sell a kidney...

Don't be tempted to use a machine shop that doesn't have lots of experience with airheads, no mater how good their reputation.
I had mine done and 100km later dropped a seat.
Luckily I caught it before any serious damage was done.

I had to give them the factory specs and get them to refit new seats with a tighter interfernce.

I sent mine out to San Francisco to be done by Bob Grauer.  He is a retire machinist that is quite intimate with airheads.
At this point in his life, all he does is head work.
