hello
had the same problem except it was the fill plug and the final drive level
plug I did not have to strip the drive down and was able to drill,tap and put
a threaded collared bushinig in on both using a perment gade of loctite ,
brinig it back to the standard threads, there not alot of clearance on the
driveshaft plug for bottoming tap to thread and need to grind it down to
get a full thread in ,did this on my brigdeport to keep it straight, the alloy
is soft and wil esaily stripthen tap with a large tap.
Have done about 600 miles with tihs now,
