Fuse panel

Seeing how I got the bike all ripped apart, I was looking at the outdated fuse panel & the corrision around it.
Anyone ever used a Cen Tech panel to replace it with? Or something else?
I'm in the process of updating the whole electrical system, & this looks like a possible weak link..Ya think???

Those fuses can cause a lot of unnecessary problems, just about anything would be an improvement over the original .

Save some money and buy a few more gallons of that expensive Obama-line... Stop by your local NAPA and pick up a couple of waterproof fuse holders that accept the "mini size" blade fuses. Ditch the crappy euro-style corrosion factories and ride happy.

I used a standard 4way fuse board so i have two spare ways one for my dash mounted power socket and one for the future! lol

the nice this is that it requires no cutting of the loom etc really is a 2min job.

The "Adel" clamp is more properly called an MS21919. It's a loop-type, cushioned (usually) aluminum alloy aircraft clamp. The cushion assures a snug fit and eliminates vibration, thus preventing line abrasion along runs of fuel, hydraulic, electrical, etc.

Company named Adel built a zillion of the MS21919 clamps back in the 60's -they may still. The term sort of stuck even though they are now made by dozens of other companies.

I have a large selection left over from my aircraft addiction days. They find their way into many of my projects.

Or, you can do like I did and forego the fancy aircraft clamps and just use zip ties on the wires, and then ziptie them to a spare screw hole on the relay mounting panel.

Speaking of zip-ties...Derek has some that have an integral hole tab just for the purpose of attaching the tie to a bolt. Neat! Not all of them do.
BTW Derek knows that Adel clamp then as a "P" clamp. Maybe because of it's shape?

Different names for things is always interesting. Those steel slotted 'universal' clamps that ya use a screwdriver or hex socket to slowly tighten say around a hose connection, we call Jubilee clamps. The inventors name is often used by some...like Kleenex!
