USB port
« on: February 25, 2011, 03:16:12 PM »
Saw this in a newsletter I get. Looks like a great idea to me. My android phone has a great gps function built in but it sucks down the battery fast. This would allow me to keep the phone charged and leave one device at home. Anyone have any comments?

Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

When I mounted a GPS on my bike I quickly found a 12v -> 3v converter for it.  I never regretted it.

But apparently Garmin has changed the interface to USB, for everything except their cheapest model.

If it suits your needs, go for it!
