Just where is the Fugowie Tribe in the Indian nation? Can't say I ever been in one of their Casinos but if they have a Craps Table, I'm there. No greater joy than playing the "Don't" against a bunch of "Do" gooders. They say it just ain't right but what do I care? I'm a nonconformist, just look at the bike I ride.

That's a nice tool.  I just bought one myself and put it into use.  The guy, Jeff,  that sells them has a bunch of tools.  I dropped $100 at his site....exhaust tool, flywheel lock, swing arm socket, etc.   Yeah, some of that I could have made myself, but it was easier to get it all in one package.

I'm going to shill a bit for Jeff Trapp on this tool site again.  I ran into a jam trying to get the drive shaft nuts off (stand on the rear brake he says....D'oh).  Anyhow, I called him and he send the tool I forgot to get (driveshaft torque adapter) right away.

I don't know if you want to try this , but the last spline lube I did, I forgot to loosen the  drive shaft bolts until I had the swing arm pins out .

I put a long brass punch into the u-joint to hold it, worked great .

This thread got my attention because I designed my own exhaust nut spanner many years ago and sold a handful through ebay.

Looking at the ebay listing, this spanner is very similar in design to mine - laser cut from flat plate. The gold passivated zinc plating is a nice touch and the price is less than I was getting for mine in Australia.

It says it is 3/8" plate; mine was 6mm (1/4") which proved perfectly adequate, if a bit hard on hands.

Assuming he's used the same jaw dimensions I arrived at by a combination of measurement and educated guess, the fit will be excellent.

It's apart now, but I was really confused on this.  Clymer said to take off the rear wheel.  So I did and the final drive spun.  So I put the wheel back on and the bike lurched forward since it was so light.  I'm used to working on my cars where the weight of the car is part of the tool!
