Euro moto electrics
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:58:14 PM »
Hello All: Greetings from the shadows and fair holidays to all. I was hoping to get some feedback from folks who have dealt with Euro moto electrics in CO. Apart from the competitive pricing and variety of parts, I'm wondering about reliability? As always Thank you.

Nothing but good things to say about John Rayski and EME.  I've dealt with him numerous times and found his service and products to be exceptional.

I've bought quite a bit from him as well.  I remember I ordered a voltage regulator once, the one I ordered was out of stock, so he sent me an adjustable one at no extra charge.  AND, his prices are quite reasonable...

I bought the 400 watt upgrade from them. A-1 service, great product! Also, when I was sent another customer's part by mistake, having already returned one other before, Mr. Rayski said for me to just keep it for being so nice as to return the errant first one! Starter solenoid I think it was. Of course that doesn't happen very often but his manner is so refreshing! BTW the other customer got sent the part they wanted!
Both John Rayski and Rick Jones from the other supplier Motorrad electrik?, are just super people!
1983 R65LS - LRB still my favourite!? 1988 Honda NX250, "Toodles Too" and a Suzuki DR650, "Calypso." All stored in the "Brrrmmm Closet".

I wonder if I could get him to build a 400-500 watt alternator for my BSA.  Don't ask me why but I so want to be able to ride the Thunderbolt year round like the R65....Time to ask!

...I bet my Triumph uses the same alternator.  The best upgrade I know of gets you up to about 180 watts.

Thanks again for your input. For those interested and or for future reference I was able to find an article (listed below)written by Robert Fleischer aka:snowbum who many of you may know,  that might help those who are researching options to upgrade electrics on these fun/great little bikes.
