More questions:  You got rid of the neutral light, and if I understand right, just joined the two wires at the neutral switch.  Can you still start the bike in neutral, without pulling in the clutch?  I may use the wiring diagram for an avatar, but it doesn't mean I understand it....

Yep regarding the neutral switch. My OEM switch was a leaker so tossed it and replaced it with a short bolt -of the correct size- and a crush washer. Join the two wires and it'll start wherever you want it to.

I'm waiting for Justin to answer my PM about the speedo cable eliminator and a vented bolt for the gearbox.  Hint.

I run a tapered, hard rubber plug tapped into the speedo cable hole. Ace Hardware sourced. Been solid and water tight for years now. Have the OEM vented bolt doing duty as the neg battery cable ground point.

Cool, thanks.  I have 4 of the rubber stoppers from Ace that will probably fit; I bought them to plug the fuel tank petcock holes in my Triumph tanks for painting.
