LS Polaris paint match

I am hoping to get help regarding a paint match for my 1984 r65ls. The bike is grey (Polaris) and has a colour number (563) under the seat printed on top of the fender. The BMW motorcycle retailer tells me that 563 is a code number designating more than the main colour of the bike. It indicates other things, perhaps like pinstriping etc. The dealer has given me a paint code (060) to use to determine the formula. Information from body shops is a little confusing. They supply Pittsburgh Paints and interpret 060 to PPG #33086 or (a different shop) #33086 for 1972 thru 1987 and #32589 for 1965 thru 1974. These colours are called ‘New Polaris Poly’ and ‘Polaris Silver Poly’?? They have no specific listings for motorcycle paint formulas and their info may apply to automobiles only. I’m attempting to talk to BMW headquarters but thought I would ask here. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi, I recently had my Polaris silver LS sidepanels sprayed, and the paint code is indeed 060, the other number denotes the full bike scheme, as in pin stripes, seat colour, transfer colour etc,

Glasurit and Spies Hecker can brew up some for you with the 060 code or a DuPont jobber can put their Chroma Vision camera on a good panel and the computer will compute a formula that is usually very close, if not perfect...  Silver is sometimes tricky due to fading.
