Well I finally took photos of the two hazard wiring looms. One came with the kit I bought and the other I bought from webparts.com using their parts fiche.
The first photo is from a kit I bought from S. Meyer on eBay and the kit has the part number for a pre 1981 kit (61311243885).
The second photo is the one for the 81-85 R65 (incl LS) but the part number (61121244122) is not listed under the LS fiche at either webparts.com or realoem. You have to look at the standard R65 fiche.
The looms are clearly different. The earlier model has a beige socket to match with the hazard plug on pre 1981 models. The later design seems to plug into the handlebar socket and then the bar switch plugs into the socket on the hazard loom. When things settle at home with the newborn i will have a go fitting it.
So I may have a 79-80 hazard loom up for sale soon.
