Getting a PDF File of the Owners Manual on the Forum

Lucky_Lou made a posting not too long ago, that he had the owners manual in PDF form, you may want to send him a PM, and see if he can get it sent to you .  

It would be nice if we could get that PDF hosted on the site, somehow.

We can post pdf files as an attachment I just tried a small file in the test section and it worked ok.  If Lou's file didn't work it might have been because it was over 2MB.  IF that was the case I have the facilities to convert a PDF to other file formats and maybe make it smaller in the process.

Is yours the early 78 - 80 manual ? I guess Monte's will be the later one and they are slightly different.  If it's possible to make them smaller I'll do both.

it's 1.88GB directory made up of 20 pdf files, the largest single file is 250MB. Still too large for here.

If you understand torrents, and are willing to navigate the minefield of virus/spyware and can download 2GB then have a look at this torrent

I've reduced Lou's file to 1565Kb. Quality is not brilliant but it wasn't that good to start with.

The reduced file sized really did reduce the quality, as far as I could see.
I received an original 2+MB copy, and the difference is worth the effort, I would say.

I was going to post it (snail mail) to Barry he reduced the other one to 1700 kb ill PM him and see if he wants to do that.
