Some one asked about fitting bigger tank on R65's, an R100GS will fit fine although you will have to mod a seat unit slightly as its about an inch shorter than a standard R65 tank, as having that gap can be the cause of a bit of a nut cracker if you have to do an emergency stop.

Yeah, somebody was asking about mounting a full-size R-bike tank.  I knew I had read there was a tank that would swap in but was shorter but couldn't remember exactly what bike.  Do you know the yearrange of GS tank that will bolt up and what capacity it is?

As long as it has the wire bail on the rear, I think it will fit... the frame.

I think the P/D tanks are included in this...

Rev. Ed had some 8 or 9 gallon R65 tanks but I could never talk him into selling me one.  Seems like his stuff was always "somewheres else" or "in storage" or "being moved".

I ended up with the 50 dollar 3 gallon boat tank aux fuel system that I used with great success on my 50cc last year.  (44 hours 36 minutes thank you)

If you put the shorter R100 tank on, will the r100 seat fit? or different mounting points?

Sorry to say I don't know, as I chopped up an old Karimat I had knocking round and made a plug to fill the gap.
