New Aux Fuel Cell.
« on: February 11, 2010, 05:08:12 PM »
Hunted down and killed a Jaz Products 4 gallon aluminum fuel cell today.

This should give me about 340 miles-4hrs 51minutes range at 70 mph/ about 400 miles-6hrs 36 minutes at 60 mph. If I need more I will get a peg packer. It will also fit on the back of all of the BSA's.

And I can open the top case! No more boat tanks.   8-)

Very nice !!!!   The all aluminum tanks like yours are ultra bitch'n.

I 'll have to dig out my aux fuel set ups. Had one like yours in plastic (from Jegs I think) and had an  trick tie down plate fabbed for the top of it out of aluminum.I have an auminum dragster style of about 4 gallans somewher I used on my R80.

I got this stuff when I used to do endurance rally's back when I had a reaction time under 4 minutes. LOL I'm a lil long in the tooth for punching holes in the night anymore.

Very nice score!!!!!

Pardon my inquiring mind, but does a Stadium Buddy take the place of Depends?

Call me a wimp but my arse generally needs a break before 4 hours of ride time are up, though depending on speed I can get 4+hours of range on my Kawasaki with just it's standard fuel tank (which is just about 7 gallons - things are a bit top heavy after a cillup @ the pump)!   I usually get ~ 250-260 miles before hitting reserve, which give me another 40 miles if I'm careful.

Chewy!

I like it (but I needed a flat bottom to fit on the BMW and the Smaller BSA seats.)

PLus there was a JAZ dealer in downtown Atlanta with tanks in stock.

good call then I just like the flexability of placement. They have one that winds up looking like a bedroll

Well I flushed out the tank today with a gallon and a half of Texaco's finest 87 octain today.  All the hoses are sized and the bike is ready for its trip to Melborne Florida next Friday.  Everything leak checked and the built in rollover valve actually works!!

Now I'm thinking about a 1993 R100R tank to add one more gallon to the fuel capacity.  There is a black one on ebay (or was) I'm thinking about.

Yes. I picked up the tank and turned it on its side and then turned it upside down.  No fuel came out.   ;)
