Availability of R65 Official BMW Service Manual

My Clymer manual isn't cutting the mustard on a number of R65 specific issues I'm workin on.  Is the official R65 BMW Service Manual available anywhere?  Did BMW come out with service manuals for each model?

The official BMW manuals, are not a real great source of info, other than torques, tolerances etc., and sometimes even these can be wrong .

The BMW manuals are written in the context, that you have been factory trained to work on BMW bikes, so we don't need to put a lot of 'general' knowledge information in the manual .

That lack of 'general' knowledge, can get you into trouble real fast .

I have the manual, nowhere in the manual does it state that you need to block the crankshaft, before removing the flywheel, or clutch carrier !!!

If you can get one for a decent price, I would go for it, but if it gets pricey, I'd pass on it .

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

I copied a friends manual back in 1981 or 2.
It protects the bottom of a box quite well.

There's actually one on Ebay right now, coincidentally, which almost never happens.
This appears to be a reprint, but new.

Walter,

I bought one from Motorworks in the UK:

http://www.bmwandguzzispares.co.uk/

The print quality is not great as it looks like a fairly average copy. As said general info is not great, but they are useful for  R65 specific things and torques that the Clymer manual misses.

Best wishes,
Paul

That one from the Kiwi on eBay is very nice. I just got mine in the mail last week Looks great. But as stated above you need the basic knowledge to begin with but he is a safe bet. I do recommend him
