Sorry about the smuge on the lense!

One other thing I need to mention is that I can shake the bars and let go at any speed and the shaking stops immediatly at any speed now!  Something I would never dream of doing with the stock set up before.  There is also a tendency for the bike to want to stand up in a turn.  I have to hold little bottom hand forward in the turn.  It will be interesting to see how this plays in the mountains.

More to follow.

No riding today as there is a cold wind driven monsoon going on in Atlanta.  36'f (2 'C) with heavy rain and winds gusting to 30 mph.

Egad!   :o

What size front tire are you running?  If it is larger than "stock" it may contribute to your "understeer" condition.  That's why I chose to keep mine at 90/90-18 instead of going larger...

Hey Bill I am impressed. At first glance I was worried about the "pray for me" thread title. So whewww, I was as relieved as you were in knots!!

Boy, that is some change. I am so glad you like it. I hope no one here will really Need a front end if you know what I mean...they can Want one...that is OK!!

Tanks Sue!

HI Justin.  At the moment it is a 100/90V18 BT45.  I am planning on putting a 110/90V18 or possible a 110/80V18 Macadam when this one wears out (about three years from now!!)  If I had a Nakked R65LS I would probably stick with the 90/90-18 size.  But my bike has bags and a fairing...

Now you need to change out the rear wheel to match... ;)

Looks "factory", Bill. Nice upgrade. The front fender appears to "fit" the fairing's styling, too.

Ed - Don't get me started.  I have sourced a R65LS wheel that looks very similar but it is silver.

Bob - I think they are 520's.  They are too big.  I run only one on at a time and am on the look out for some lower wattage HID's.

Monte - Thanks.  I am really pleased with the "look".  Rode the bike to work on Sunday.  Rock Steady at 70 mph.  I get to drive home tonight.  What more could I ask for?

Merry Christmas one and all to the brothers and sisters of BMWR65.org.  It is so nice to have a place to play.   8-)

I'm singing with the angels tomorrow night (Christmas Eve).  I hope you get to do so as well or at the very least get to curl up in front of a roaring fire with your favorite libation and your fondest all around you.

Sincere blessings on you all.

Tried that once. Wife strongly objected. [smiley=furious3.gif]

Happy Christmas to everyone. Please remember our troops deployed far from home and hearth. May God bless each of them and grant them the strength, skill and courage to accomplish their mission.
