Muffler question
« on: December 09, 2009, 04:52:57 AM »
Of the two mufflers fitted, one has a square 'dent' which looks like it's been put there for clearance reasons.  My muffler with 'dent' is on the right side of the bike.

Is that the right (correct) side?

I believe the dent is for clearance to remove the rear axle, I'm at work, so I can't take a look at the bike right now .

Indentation should normally be on the left side to allow withdrawl of the wheel spindle. (just checked mine out in the carpark Bob)

Yeah, you can and they seem to fit OK but they point inward at the back.  I thought I had 'em the wrong way but it was late and I was over it.  Today I changed them over, put the original carbs back on, re-assembled the oil filter stuff, tuned it all up and zoomed around the hills for a while.  It needs more work but it's fun

Thanks and regards
