Voltmeter Mounting
« on: September 19, 2009, 02:16:12 PM »
Does anybody have a picture of a voltmeter/clock installation on the handlebar, not in a fairing ?

I bought an OEM voltmeter from lamontsanfurd (aka Larry Chabira) on eBay about 2 years ago, and never got around to getting the parts together to make it happen .

The part I keep seeing is a flat metal part, that looks like it slips over the handlebar tube, but I can't for the life of me, see how it works .

Hi Bob

You can buy a bracket and instrument pod from Motorworks. They mount under the existing dashboard and sit aside the the speedo and rev counter.
ridiculously expensive though!

I once had a R45 with them fitted; with hindisght i'd have taken them off before selling it.

Thanks for the link .

I've got the u shaped bracket, and the voltmeter, I think I need to remove the instrument cover, and see how this works .

I only paid $25 for the voltmeter, the mounting 'pod' wasn't that costly the last time I looked for one .
