Rusty gas tank.

Hi all,

Being relatively new at this game and somewhat naive, I have a possible silly question to pose. My 6/83 has rust around the bottom side seams. Is this repairable or should I try to locate a used tank?

Any tips just where I could locate a good tank would be appreciated.

Cheers

XPT Pete

If its not leaking it may be just a paint job to tidy it up if its leaking then you may need to strip it and repair it (there seems to be mixed feelings about lineing the tank). If your have problems with debri there are lots of solutions.
Flick over to page 2 in this section theres a thread on this subject including some photos of my solution further back there are lots of other posts read through them and see what others have done and what fits your particular problem. If yuo need a tank keep an eye out on eBay or
