Light Bulb Part Number
« on: May 26, 2009, 05:00:33 PM »
Does anybody have the SAE part number for the parking light that is under the headlight ?

I went to NAPA auto parts today, and came up empty handed.

The part number on the metal lamp base is : 15833, and that number is useless, it's a 12v 4 watt lamp with a 'bayonet' base .

Bob, a good store should be able to match you one up with just those specs, they completely describe the bulb.  When I went to slightly higher wattage (.3 W) than stock on my R100s the local "real" parts house just went through the book until we saw a bulb that had the specs I wanted and they ordered me a box...

Thanks Justin,

The NAPA store that I go to, looked like all they had yesterday, was 'summer help', not the usual counter guys, so I guess I need to go back when the 'old timers' are there .

Yeah, the old buggers'll get out a thick ol' book and have you a bulb in no time.  These young goobers can't seem to find anything if they can't look it up by make/mode/year on the freaking computer.  Man, we are all gonna be in sooo much trouble in a few years...
