First I have heard of it.  Google turns up nothing.

Sure it is not an owner-made custom?

Or maybe a Norton Commando, or a Lotus automobile?

Never heard the names John Player and BMW in the same sentence before, although anything's possible of course, especially across the pond... :-?

Well I did find some JPS BMW's, seem to have been sold in Oz only. I Googled up some K's in JPS colors, still haven't found any mention of airheads, but it seems a rare model.

Black and gold, it's definitely the JPS color scheme.

Nice looking bike! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Well that certainly is a nice bike you have there. I found this and the owner also believes that the JPS models were only released in Oz.

No Way! One of my favorite F1 cars was the JPS piloted by one of my favorite drivers Mario Andretti. Watched him race at one of my favorite tracks Watkins Glenn and now one of my favorite bikes done in that livery!
I've got to know more!

Sorry for the delay in thanking you all for your responses - had some employment and 'net access issues. I'll seek to contact BMW direct (again) and see if they can be a little more helpful.
cheers

Evan,

I remember seeing that bike for sale, didn't the seller say somewhere that it was a repaint job?

I do like the look, nearly had a go myself!
