Greetings friends and fiends! Welcome to what I?m calling The Long Way To Timmies (working title), in which I rescue my 1983 BMW R65 from storage in Massachusetts and decide it would be way more fun to ride it across Canada than ship it. I?m no stranger to long haul overland travel, but this differs from
my previous wanderings in that it?s not open ended?I want to arrive in time for one of my favorite moto events out west, the VME MC?s
Isle of Vashon TT.

The proposed route will cover ~8k miles, 6 US states, 9 Canadian provinces, plus a li?l piece of France, over about 50 days.

Stage 1: Nova Scotia. We have 6 players at this stage; me on my 1983 BMW R65, Justin on his 1972 R75/5, Shannon on her Bajaj, Brett on his P200, and Mike on his P200. Elyssa is driving the support truck.

Stage 2: Newfoundland and Labrador. The scooters return home via PEI. Justin and I ferry north and take the recently paved Trans-Labrador highway. Hopefully we can make it back in time for the
Rally of Northern Emigration.

Stage 3: The looong stage. Justin returns home and I continue west solo, taking my R65 to its new home in Washington...but not before getting a pic at Mile 0 in Victoria, BC to complement the one I?ll take at St John?s, NL. Wish me luck.

Stage 4: Party! See you at Vashon TT! I wonder if they have Furthest Ridden...
If you?re along the way at all, please say hi!
