Called Javier at Chicago BMW Tuesday afternoon, 24 Feb, and placed an order for some bits to service the '83. Asked him to check stock -all good- and he said he would send them out that day. I received the package on Friday, 27 Feb, which will allow me to do a few BMW chores after the shop warms up a bit. Three and a half days for delivery ain't too shabby!
In the box was a note stating that, "Due to...advertising regs with BMWNA we are no longer showing... discounted price on our website."
The note goes on to say that all sales receipts and charges will continue to reflect Chi's usual 20% discount. My receipt reflected this.
Item two is a [smiley=thumbup.gif] to ChiTown BMW for their service to me. I always use their 800-number to order and I always ask them to check inventory. So far, I have yet to be disappointed. YMMV but get the hook up with Javier if you can.
