R65LS Siebenbrock and major maintenance: it was fired up he said it felt strong.Like @Kelvin and @dogshome said it's running lean so he's going to see if he's got some main jets at work. He's thinking a 142 main jet will be right but I told him to get both and see which one is better.
At $15.00 for the 142 and $5.00 for the 145 it's not that big of a deal.
Ran a quick Dyno last night and said 17 more HP.
Top graph blue line is stock r65 and red is now.
Told em I've been jonesing to ride.

My '81 standard R65 had 145 main jets from the factory.
64/32/325, 326 carbs, may need to go a bit larger with the displacment increase .

'81 R65
'82 R65 LS
'84 R65 LS
'87 Moto Guzzi V65 Lario
'02 R1150R
Riding all year long since 1993 .
I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

I'm thinking that 138 were standard for the 84 LS that's why we got both and try them both out to see which works best. Glad he has a Dyno to work with.

Update: She came home last night .
List of everything done to date at  the Custom Vintage shop.
1. Siebenbrock power kit. (Dynoed at 51 HP.)
2. Machined heads. ( For the notorious R65 warped heads.)
3.New Siebenbrock Peanut valve covers. ( My bike, my choice.)
4. Secondary air delete.
5. Rebuilt carburators. ( Current 142 main jets, running rich so maybe putting 140's in in the future.)
6. New fuel lines.
7. New metal shifter roller, springs and cir clips.
8. New rear main seal.
9. New clutch kit.
10. New swingarm boot.
11. Fixed stripped final drive fill hole and installed new oversized bolt.
12. Breaking in now.

Shrink your photos please. MS Paint wil do it, or almost any other photo application.

I'm having no success with shrinking my photos.
It's crazy I can post some pictures and others are too big. 1024kb is what it tells me is maximum. :thud:
