My neighbour decided to paint her fence "Misty Midnight". A light grey. Argh.
Her pump-up paint sprayer (unsurprisingly) had an explosion when she took the lid off to see why the spray wasn't coming out. Unfortunately, I don't have that on CCTV
She was covered in grey paint, also the concrete, red brick house and windows my side. She was quick in the emergency though and hosed everything including herself. Sorry (guys) no pics of that either!
Apart from a few splodges my side and a really grey concrete (which is grey), no harm done. She spent hours re-painting by hand and so I said I'd paint my side same colour and fit her a gate lock if she wanted. The fence is recent to stop break-ins in her house. I have a 40MPH, unhinged and silent 30kg killing machine (and his sister) my side and persons climbing the fence will realise we also have a (large) dog flap.
The point? I sprayed. I brushed. I brushed again and then touched in. NEVER EVER paint a brown wooden fence with light grey. Like trying to cover 30 years of rust on a vintage car with kids crayons. Don't do it. Don't even THINK about it! I may post a pic when the swelling comes down - RSI in both arms and my pulsating temple
