Thanks for the add- introduction

hi

im Keith from Staffordshire in the UK....thanks to Admin for the add.

passed my test about 6 years ago in my mid 40s...but now mad on bikes especially BMs.

i bought an 83 R65 2 years back and did a full strip...frame powdercoated , barrels off, rebuild. i now have a very nice clean original looking bike.

last year i bought an 1994 R80 RT and did the same....and i love it too.

last month I bought a R45 which im debating whether to restore to original or sensitively scramblerise !!

i also have a BMW s1000r...which is amazing , a honda C90 cub and a Honda CT90 trail.

if i had more room i would have more bikes.

currently im toying with buying the Seibenrock 860 kit.....bolting it onto my R65...and then looking at fitting the R65 barrels to the R45. so any guidance on that would be great

ride safe...

Hiya, another Keith here  :beerchug:

The 860 on a 650 is great. I did a usually rambling post on here.

450 heads have smaller valves and the chamber is smaller. This will be too tight to 650 pistons. The 450 to 860 upgrade is different for this reason - see piston pics below. Machining a wider squish on the 450 would be quite easy though I'm not sure if anything might need to come off the piston or conversly, if the compression might be low.

I have a pair of good 650 barrels, pistons etc laying in a box......
