I took my R65 to a Sunday morning get together organised by Sydney Machina Social Club. It is a fund raiser for various charities and attracts a wide range of interesting vehicles. Good coffee too !

I love those year Corvettes.  '58 - '59 or so, I can't tell them apart.

They are truly beautiful and now here in the UK really expensive. I have seen one at a show (concours condition) that was up for £75k, what's that in $ about $125k?

But did you see what is under the bonnet (hood!) of that Corvette! I am not sure how I feel about that sort of messing with a classic.

I couldn't tell from the first pic what was in the Vette, though it didn't look like a 283.  But I don't know what those mechanical fuel injectors looked like.  Obviously not like what Michael posted.  I agree with you, Michael.

I only said I don't know how I feel. The modifications are wrong on so many levels but the end product is glorious!

Another Machines and Macchiatos this last weekend but I took my Citroen DS and left the R65 at home.

But the BMW had a nice autumn run today.

This last weekend was a different event, the French Car Day. Lots of classic Citroens, Renaults and Peugeots and to make he day perfect two very tidy R65's in the car park!

One was an LS, the other with a twin disk conversion. I did not get to meet the owners. Does anyone here know these bikes?

Beautiful photos Michael.  

Back in the mid eighties I drove a DS5 in South Africa from Jo'burg, through the Transvaal and Kruger Park with a mate of mine.  It had a few idiosyncrasies that took getting used to.  

I am recently returned from a motorcycle trip to Europe where I rode a K75 through the mainly wet Alps and spent a fair amount of time in France where there are still quite a few older models on the road.  I also visited the official opening of the Ace Café in Luzern, Switzerland where there were a few old airheads but mainly Brit bikes on show.  

I suppose you lot will now expect some photos since I mentioned that.
