Loved the Vintage display, here is one of the nicer rigs that wasn't even in the Display area.

Those "saddlebags" certainly look unique, if that is what they are.

Yeah!  I saw those too.  Hard to miss.

I think I have pictures of those too but haven't made them small enough to post yet.  But you have them so now I don't have to.   ;)

Great pictures, Darryl!

I still don't understand what the pieces that look like two extra rear fenders are.

Those really are saddlebags.  Small, inconveniently shaped, unaerodynamic, beautifully crafted to exactly follow the lines of the bike, saddlebags.

A lot of those bikes -- most of the singles and the R75WH with the anti tank gun trailing behind it -- were brought up to Oregon by Jack Wells, who lives in Florida.  He drove his semi trailer up with about 15 bikes inside.  That's dedication!

Very interesting.  Sidecars always make me wistful for the days when I had an old Jawa CZ 350 two stroke with a Velorex.  The bike was crap but the hack was really cool.

Hey John, how's the healing coming on?  Are you still on crutches?  Planning on getting back on a bike one of these days?

Hey, Mike!

Still have to wear the brace on the leg (which really blows). :(  I got referred to another orthopedic surgeon who is going to do some arthroscopic work to remove some built-up scar tissue around the knee that is preventing me from being able to bend my knee the 90 degrees it's supposed to be able to do.  He will manipulate the knee while I'm under general anesthesia to see that it does bend the 90 degrees after he finishes scoping the knee.

The thumb is faring better.  I got it out of the splint a couple of weeks ago (the pins came out of the thumb about four weeks ago), and I am slowing getting my range of motion back there.  Lots of hand and thumb exercises to do 3X daily.  I do have some unexpected arthritis in the four fingers, but I guess I can live with that, as long as I get the thumb to eventually bend like it should.  I hope to be able to try working a clutch lever again by the end of this year!   ;)

(Sorry for temporarily 'jacking this thread, folks!)
