OVM Vintage Ride and Show 5/22 & 23

The ride is Saturday, the show is Sunday.  Vintage is bikes 25 or more years old:

Dave, think you'll make it?  Later in the year OVM has a ride down in the Eugene area, so I'll definitely contact you before that one.

Did you make it, Bill?  (I had't noticed another R65er on the forum so close to me.)  The weather was pretty lousy for the ride Saturday and the show Sunday, but I went both days.  Sat.  I was smart enough to wear my Olympia riding suit so the rain didn't matter, but Sunday I thought it was going to be nice so wore leathers.  They got wet.  I still enjoyed the heck out of both days.  I get nervous riding with groups, but it's worth it to me to see and hear all the old bikes out running around.  The ride leader was on a 1945 Harley.  Man he sure can handle that thing, making low speed manouvers look easy.  He has lots of other old bikes.  He entered his Sunbeem in the show.

I didn't see any other R65s.    But somebody parked a Buel Lightening by my bike.  Yummmmmm....

Ed, I let the rain scare me away,but while I was home wishing I was riding, I managed to obtain a brand new Owner's/Rider's manual for the R65 and a used Reynolds ride off stand so my day wasn't a total loss. I am in the process of making mounts to put Samsonite bags on the R65. Sorry i didn't make it. Will be at Chief Joseph & Redmond. I live in Woodburn.       Bill Cummins

I'm sure wishing I could have been there to see those vintage bikes.  That would have been fun.  It was cold and rainy down here on Saturday too.

Looks like we're going to have a good R65 forum contingent at Redmond.  I'll make sure I get a message posted up somewhere so we can all meet!  What fun!  I'm very much looking forward to meeting you both!
