Hi alltogether,

this is not a ride report, but some pictures from this evening. I´ve got a nex  digicam :D and tried to catch the mood of the evening around our home.

That´s it.

Greeting from Germany

Those are lovely pictures Dirk. The stunning yet peaceful countryside provides a wonderful background for your 75/6. One of your shots has a deer in the distance that you can just see through the fence. I like the pictures of the bike in the field as well. Very nice indeed.

Great pictures as usual, Dirk.  Nice to see the cow in it's natural habitat!  ;)

Brilliant as usual.  I love the final picture with the sunset over the buildings - is that your home?  You have a wonderful spot on this earth!  Thanks for sharing.

Long time, no hear from, Dirk!  Glad to see you are still taking some wonderful photos!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

(And I swear that R75/6 of yours looks as if you just rode it off the dealer showroom floor!)

Great pics as always, Dirk, even when you're just messing around in the neighborhood!
You've definitely got the "eye". [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

BTW, SC John finally graduated from his schooling, so we've made our travel plans to come spend the summer with you, as we discussed last year about this time.
When can you pick us up at the airport, and what bikes have you arranged for us to ride? Something tasty, we hope.
Looking forward to seeing you and the misses soon... ;)   ;D

My wife has read your comments and she was happy about your friendly words. But she got angry because I didn´t show pics of her bike. ::)
For my peace, here they are: ;D

@Justin: If the expression Cow for the plump BMW´s is spread in the United States, too, it is your fault. You are the patient zero. ;D

@Aïda: Thank you, Aïda. Yes, the sunset pic is from the village where we live (but it´s the same sun that you can see from the other side of our planet) ;)

@John: yes, my bikes looks clean on the photos. But in reality you can see every of her 220.000 km. It´s an old motorcycle with a noticeable patina. The only thing that is nearly new are the cylinder heads. And I´ve bought new piston rings.

Here are the old cylinder:

And here are the fresh and cleaned boobs. :-)

For the price of six piston rings I could have bought a complete russian boxer motor: :o

And they were not "Made in Germany" :'(

The Muslime-pistons are going to be installed. ;)

@Steve: If you or other members of this forum are coming to Germany I would be proud to have you as our guests. And - I mean what I say.

Dirk,  still not enough pics of the wife's bike!!!  It is beautiful! I love the headlight ring and the old 'peanut' style valve covers.  Is that a kick starter I see on her bike?  What year is it?  It looks much like mine did when I bought it - although mine has not aged nearly as well as your wife's.

Yes, we have some beautiful sunsets on this side of the planet as well.  But the country surrounding your home is magnificent.  I would love to wake up every morning to those peaceful surroundings!  :)
