April in Willville
« on: April 21, 2008, 07:40:26 PM »
Here's some pics I took over this past weekend at Willville, at a gathering of the ADVriders as well as the Twin Valley Riders, out of the Roanoke VA area.
No R65s, but lots of other BMWs, Aprilias, KLRs, an MV Augusta and my lone Guzzi.
Friday's weather was fantastic, and despite a rainy Saturday night with several catastrophic tent failures and some damp rides home, an excellent time was had by all.
Hope you enjoy them...  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Nice pics, Steve !

Thanks for posting them !
Of all the bike shown, I kinda like that toaster with the Ural rig on it the best, though there was a time when I
was seriously considering getting into CBX collecting...

Color me green with envy, Steve!  I wish like crazy that I could've gone up there and seen some of them fine machines, along with Aida and Graham (and of course, Will and his doggies)!  Hope the Goose gave you a nice smooth ride up there and back!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Yeah - I wanted one of each unique model... along with any of the other bikes that had similar fairings - like the CX500 Turbo and the CB900F!
Of course, I wanted one of those 750 Interceptors that Fast Freddie was making famous on, as well!

Yeah dude, you missed a good one, but Will has several big to-dos scheduled over the summer, so plan on riding up at some point for sure.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
He found a home in Boston for the pups so they're gone now, but that gives him a little less to worry and deal with.
And, the Goot-C ran great, no issues at all so far with about 3K miles on 'er.
Here's one more pic, of the ol' gal stopped on a bridge just off the Parkway, wearing her "winter" shield and hard bags.

Come see us soon  ;)

It was a fun one all right - even with the rain.  We arrived just in time to lay claim to the just vacated cabin.  [smiley=clap.gif]  We were planning on staying Sunday night and heading home on Monday, but after Steve left (the last of the crew beside Graham and I) it was just too lonely!  So after a few rounds on the new toy, we loaded it up and headed back home.  All those great bikes around and I didn't walk around and check them out..  >:(  What was I thinking???  ::)   Thanks for the pics Steve!

We for sure will be back the 3rd weekend of June.  We'll be headed north to a /5 rally up at Seneca Rocks in WV.  So we'll start out at Willville and head north from there.  I think he said there would be a group up that weekend as well.

I hope to add some more photos to Will's website soon.  He has a great Willville song that plays on his home page now - you should check it out!  http://www.willvillebikecamp.com
