Do be careful working round that bench, Mr E - I'm not so keen on  that tippy-looking 4x4 post that seems to be supporting the back of the plank!

Now then

Thanks for the concern, the bike is tied into the roof to 'secure it' and the bench is now anchored to the floor.

So went to the shed today, had a few things to finish on the BMW to get it rideable to hayride..........not going anymore!

Whilst there decided to see what it'd be like to have over the head exhausts.............wish i hadn't done that!!

i like the look of the exhaust up high though, think i'm gonna weld a mock up header to be sure though.
The exhaust will roughly be the same height of the muffler in the pic, not where the standard pipes end up.

Anyway took off the rose nut, eventually, and found it's stripped (see pic), luckily i picked up some spare cylinder heads a while ago in perfect condition, just need a good clean.

So the bike will now be fully stripped down, re painted, and rebuilt.
(not gonna be as clean as some as the bikes on here but it'll be good for my standards!!)

shame as i wanted to ride it this summer, but i also managed to fix the side stand!

now then

Not really done much to the bike this year, rode it 400 on a 3 day trip & other than that it's been in the shed with all the other bikes

I never really liked the position of the exhausts, they cover too much of the rear wheel, and it's too nice to not show them off!!

What you guys think to this??

That looks really nice Elliot - and I love the spoked wheels! Can't afford those at the moment lol. Not sure about the high level exhaust - its a bit scrambler-ish to me. I think the shortie exhaust is much better for what its worth.

Bummer about the stripped threads - I'm dreading checking mine, I think I know whats going to happen right now judging by the rest of the bike ::) :(

Cheers mate

for once i'm happy with the bike.
but due to a change in direction, i think it's gonna be sold.
i've still got the R65 race bike, but with the little one and an focus on trials so i can ride the SSDT, this is gonna go!

If you want the spoke wheels a deal could be had!!!
