Winter blah's
« on: February 07, 2010, 08:02:00 AM »
I have cabin fever. Its 16 degrees and windy outside today so there is no chance I would take the R65 for a ride today but I  would love too.
I just had to tell someone thanks for listening. :(

It was raining quite heavily when I left for work this morning at 0515, so no motorcycle today .

I brought the fuel tank from the LS into work, hopefully, the phosphoric acid will remove the flash rusting, and not rust up again when rinsed with hot water, so I can finally get the liner back into the tank .

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

Bob, are you using the POR 15 kit?  If not what procedure to reline the tank?

I'm using the POR 15 kit, but my use of citric acid, caused flash rusting when the tank was rinsed out with hot water .

I finally have some free time, so I can continue the work on the LS .

Haven't had enough time over the last 2 month's to devote a whole day to this, hopefully, this will be the final work on the tank interior .
