headlight and  dash assembly
« on: January 09, 2008, 10:26:18 PM »
Greetings all ,
I finally took the bikini fairing off my LS,  and things aren't great......
the frame that holds teh headlights, gauages and teh X bracket of teh brake and clutch lines on is rusted silly and cracked completely through on one side

I dont have teh original LS fairing, and was going to saty naked.

SO what have others done? I was going to attach a normal set of headlight ears, but what did others do to attach teh original gagues? OR will I have to manufacture something up, or just chase up a dash fram from teh wreckers?

I have lost the front clock/headlight assembly completely and just run a push bike speedo...The orignal headlight is attached by an aftermarket set of ears and the speedo to the back of that.  I have a separate dash with the ignition and idiot lights.  I do not feel the need for a rev counter, so I did not fit one.

You can now buy some rather clever electronic rev counter/speedos with idiot lights from the following site:

Hope this helps
