I did mine a few weeks ago. Took me about one or two hours. But well ahead of time, I did the snowbum fix to the switch with metal epoxy.
The only other trick I used that hasn't been mentioned was using a length of rope going around the big spacer and then back to the rear wheel. Then I used a big nail to twist the rope round and round (ie, putting a ton-o-tension on it) to pull the spacer out of its snug home.
I re-used the same washers.
So far, so good. No leaks.
