A lot has bee said about how complicated the newer BMW bikes are to work on .

I just got done replacing the right fork seal on my oilhead .

I did the left one about 2 years ago, so the steep learning curve was not present this time .

Total time from first putting a wrench to the bike, until the last bolt was torqued, was 38 minutes .

They did get some things right with the latest generation of bikes .

How long would it take to change the "spring" on that telelever front end, though  ;-)

I'm not razzing on the oilheads - I think that they are good motorcycles - but they just don't have the character of the predecessors.

That's why a 30 years old R100rs is the same price like 10 years old r11rs ;D
