Tire pump?

Has anyone found a hand tire pump that work well with snowflake wheels? Will the one being sold on ebay as a replacement for the OEM one work? Thanks

A number of the bicycle pump ones with wide solid heads won't fit in the tight space where the valve is, especially on the front wheel.   I had an old one which broke this year and am on the lookout for a replacement, too.

I have a Lezyne pump that I use on my bicycle as well as the R65.  These pumps are small, very reliable, and attach via a short rubber hose.  You can get into almost any small space with that thing.

I concur.  And they're designed so that minimal effort is required to get high psi's.

Those lezyne pumps look quite handy - and would be useful on my mt bikes, too!   I'm going to look into the dual presta/schrader models for that purpose.   Any particular model you recommend?

Consult your local mid - high end bicycle shop.  I got the one i use for my mountain bike, (and the kids' bikes) from a shop for about 25$.

It's still not as fast as the regular stand pump, so I'm going to get one of those sideways adapters that mess up your wheel balance ;) for the beemer.

Just went out and picked one up today. Hope I never have to use it as it is small enough that it would take a long time to air up a tire but it sure beats walking. Thanks for letting me know about this. The Forum comes through again!

I ended up getting a 'replacement BMW pump' made by Schrader-Autoventil from RePsycle BMW for around $25. It fits securely between the lugs underneath/beside the seat. The head of the pump is too large to fit directly on the air stems so I purchased a short extension from NAPA. Well made and less than $10.
Using this set-up a bit like work but better than an under inflated tire.
