Timeline, not a restoration
« on: May 10, 2016, 09:31:25 PM »
I got my R65LS almost 12 years ago. She was in questionable condition but running. I did all the mechanicals needed and she has been an absolute dream to ride even since. But I have haven't been able to settle on a "style" for her since day one. I didn't feel she was a candidate for a "factory" restoration because of her condition so she has been through several looks since I have owned her. Her latest is closest to the factory look and I think it is the best she has looked.

A well compiled collection of photos.  Most impressive.

Playing "Where's Waldo" finding all the smaller detail changes on the same-but-different R65s.

I've always liked your euro-yeller headlight lens. Thanks for the snaps.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

How did the engine react to the 2-1 exhaust while you were bar hopping?

Lucky, I had no problems with the 2-1 exhaust but then again I am not a performance addict. I did it 1. because of the looks and 2. because it has an awesome sound. I will admit that I rode it harder just because the sound and the layout with rearsets and low clipon bars just felt right. Kind of like a two wheeled sports car.
