I've bought a Suzuki...

Some of you may remember a thread a while back on what bikes you have always wanted.
One of mine was a Suzuki TS250. They are as rare as hens teeth, I missed the last one that hit the market late in 2011 by 1 hour!

I heard about a 1980 SP400 that might be up for sale, took me 6 months to persuade the owner to sell it to me.  :D

2 owners from new with 23k on the clock. It's not original, but is all there, it's a non-runner, so I need to get it running, then I'll tax & test it for some fun on the road!

I'll get some images up shortly.

I would have bought a Suzuki but my wife would have killed me first. The fastest bike I have ever ridden:  RG500 Gamma

Semper,

Very nice, but not my type. If I was to have anything like that, it would be a Laverda Jota :D

I had a Suzuki TS250 for twenty years. Great bike. Easy reliable starting, great P/W ratio. Unfortunately, it literally melted in a Southern California brush fire. My R65 came along to replace it...

A friend of mine has an addiction to old 2-strokes, mainly Suzuki and Yamaha marques.    I'll have to see if I can get him to send me some pics of his garage - last I knew he had restored, working and licensed a Yamaha CS3 (200) an RD350, RD400 with exp chambers, a Suzuki TS250 (Hustler), GT185, GT380, GT550 and was negotiating a deal on a GT750 (Water Buffalo/Teapot)..

....known affectionately in the UK as a kettle.

Behind my bike in the foreground there are a whole bunch of kettles and they brought their own tent for brewing up in.
