Today I managed to get the handlebars off!

Wires run INSIDE of the handlebars!  WTF?
I don't think I am going to drill any more holes in my new bars than I have to.  i.e., for the turn signal wires, and the Honda perches have a locating pin to keep the assy from rotating... They sure make this hard!

Hey!  Look what they had in 1974!  Throttle cable splitters!

Yeah, I remember that, my CB450 had all of the switch wires running inside the bars.

I think I would like the clean look, but I bet changing the cables is a pain.  Is it?

More of a pain that a Beemer, if I remember correctly.  I really don't know since I "chopped" it and changed bars early in my ownership and there was no longer anything electrical on the bars!

They were waaay ahead of their time - all the quality custom chopper shops I know of run all the wiring through the inside of the bars for that clean look.

So, Rob, you must have on the Beach Boy's album with "Little Honda" playing while you work on that little gem.
