Hottest Day of the Year

When I left work this afternoon, air temp, 114 F, 46 C, road surface temp 197 F, 92 C .
Tires stuck like velcro !!

Riding all year long since 1993 .
I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

Whaaat! Thats almost unimaginable Bob.

I’ve lived through 45C, but that was in a place called Marble Bar in Western Australia and thats reputed to be the hottest place in Australia. There’s no bitumen roads there though.... Just a pub.[smiley=beer.gif]

Don't stop at the stop lights to long. That temperature was very rear once but not anymore.

Pretty common here to have temps of 110-120 F, 43-49 C from June through September .
Air cooled bikes don't like these temps !!!
