Sounds like fun

I don't normally pass along things like this but this just sounded like too much fun.  This is from an online "Deals" forum and is for a ride along in a 2 seat open cockpit Indy car from the Mario Andretti Racing Experience. There are a lot of tracks and dates around the country with a lot near some of our members. This is normally $129 but this sale has it at $29. The gift card is good for 2 years. I bought one for myself and another for my son and plan on going to the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Since we all like things with wheels and motors, just wanted to pass it along.

It's worth it !!!
Through a promotion with Nextel and my employer, I won a 10 lap Indy car experience, at the time, it was called Driving 101, but now it's Mario Andretti .
I did 10 laps at California Motor Speedway in Ontario, CA, just east of the LA area .
600 hp in an open wheel car, nothing compares to it .
I can't imagine doing these speeds in traffic !!!! :o
If you ever get the chance by all means do it !!!!!!

Riding all year long since 1993 .
I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

Some years ago I had the chance to attend a Porsche driving day at Millbrook proving ground (I think they shot one of the James Bond car scenes here).

I got the chance to do some laps with a British racing driver called Tony Lanfanchi (sadly no longer with us) in a Porsche Turbo, wow! What an experience, the ease of control and a really nice down to earth guy.

During lunch, I managed to sit alongside Tony and Derek Bell (Le Mans winner) which was a great experience.

Take any chance you can to get on track and sit alongside a real driver to experience speed and control at its very best!

It's the same on the bike, (I went on one of Jamie Whitiham's with my dad) do a track tuition day and you'll realise just how skilled the race instructors are. If you're anything like me you'll learn a lot as well.

Have an additional one available now. This one is a ride-along in a Nascar. Not as many locations available but they have one I'd like to try, Talladega Superspeedway.
