OK, folks. A true, funny vending machine story:

My late father was a golfer. He and his foursome buddies were never above pranking each other while on the course. Rowdies, sorta... for old guys.

Sitting on a bench while waiting to tee off on the first hole, the club professional approached the "gang of four" and accused them of stealing snacks from the nearby vending machine! Pro's contract included proceeds from the vending machines, cart rentals, etc. Seems he thought their behaviors made them the logical suspects.

During the "pro's" rant, one of the old man's buddies pointed to the machine. A squirrel, in the machine's delivery tray, raised the security flap, crawled into the machine and came out with a package of cheese crackers.  Rocky the Squirrel climbed up the tree shading the machine and enjoyed his free snack.

Any guesses as to who became the primary prank target from then on? The club replaced the golf "professional" within the year.

Very good Monte!  I expect to hear that one around the fire at Ken's in a few weeks!  ;D
