Bob, it looks like you sent your cold weather here to New Jersey.  Today's high will be around 20 degree F, wind chill at around 10 degree F.  Expecting 10 degree F tonight (wind chill around 2).

[sarcasm] Thanks.  [/scarcasm]

Our "high"  temperature here today was late this morning, +5F (-15C).  We're expecting it to get down to about -23C tonight.  This, along with 30km/h winds is making it feely downright chilly, even in the sunshine!

I've never experienced temperatures that low. That is seriously cold.

Hope you have good antifreeze in your car and good insulation in your house.

Humid, dry it makes no difference. Cold is cold. I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for almost 8 years and it would get to -40F and stay there for 5-6 weeks at a time. When it "warmed up" to 0F we would be outside in short sleeved shirts. Ah the things we do when we are young and foolish. And that is why I live in the ocean breezes on the FL/GA coast.
Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

Winter 2010 we had - 23c here thats the coldest i have ever known, funny though it did not feel that bad, i went to the Yorkshire Bike forum Christmas meet at Squires on the Bike it was -5c (lunchtime) with the right gear it was a good ride but was shocked when i found i was the only one on a bike all the others turned up in their 4x4,s.
