US - Canada shipping

Fellow sojourners,
I just made a purchase from an Ontario airhead who paid for the shipping. (Purolator)  I received the package from U.P.S. who charged me a $33.75 c.o.d. fee because it was international shipping!!  What happened to NAFTA?  Anyone else get screwed like this?

I just saw a thread on a Guzzi forum, about buying engine oil and having it shipped, I can't remember if it was from Canada to the US, or the other way around, the shipping costs were about 100% of the cost of the oil, which was around $150US .

So yes it happens, the US postal service is the worst !!!

Beware  !!!!!
