Mike n' Monte's new gig
« on: October 17, 2012, 07:58:46 AM »
Ol' Bengt Phorqs Crenshaw is getting close to pulling the retirement trigger. I'm already there, so we decided we needed to find something to do together that would generate a healthy retirement slush fund. So...

We've pooled resources and first-time ventured into the lucrative food and beverage industry by opening what we hope will be a popular watering hole for Texas' shaft-driven motorcyclists. Y'all stop by sometime. Dress code strictly enforced.

Oh, and that "Ladies Goods" lingerie thing was our wives's idea. I dunno. We plan to run a classy joint.

Mike and I are pictured here with our highly trained and eager to serve staff.

I thought you guys already had a position as official tasters at the K Spoetzl brewery?
Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

At 5 cents a glass - you'll have alot of customers, but sadly, not the big spending variety!

That's truth!

When Pretty Wife and I head to the Third Coast, we always stop at the Spoetzl kegs.

Step into the gift shop and they hand you five wooden tokens; each good for a nice sample of several on-tap brews. Free! Oh... there's my favorite four-letter "F" word again.

We'll definitely be enjoying a few Shiners as we stroll the show line at this weekend's Harvest Festival in beautiful downtown Luckenbach, TEXAS.

Monte definitely has the entreprenurial spirit, but unfortunately not a lot of bidness smarts.  We argued quite a bit about the $.05/glass.  We're thinking about purchasing the old Spanish Fort Coon Hunting & Sporting Goods building in downtown Spanish Fort, TX.  The view from the back veranda/outhouse overlooks the Red River and you can actually see Oklahoma on the other side. 8-)

You definitely need some women there.  Half your patrons appear to be playing pocket pool.  (It takes one to know one.) ;)
