I have to log on every time i come onto the forum despite ticking the "Keeps" box.... problem??

I made a posting about 7 days ago in the misc tech section, it happened after the forum was down for maintenance, probably a software upgrade .

It happens to me at work, but not at home .

On my computer at work I don't have to log in. At home for the last few years I have always had to sign in all the time. I replaced my desk top last year and two years ago te hard drive on the lap top. Even cleared the cookies made on difference. Started using a IPad and need to sign in every time.

I had not noticed the topic in the Misc Tech section, this started when i got back from my week on the trail it is also happening on Face Book but other forums  eBay etc are no problem i was worrying i had picked up a virus.

It might happen if the forum sees that your IP address has changed or something in the cookie doesn't match up...
