The prettiest BMW Airhead Ever.
« on: August 06, 2012, 08:34:10 AM »
That is a strong statement so I thought it best to put the topic here.  Over the weekend I was up at the Blueridge Motorcycle campground and this bike was sitting in the corner near the bridge next to the stream.

Any idea where he mounted the rectifier for his euromotoelectrics alternator upgrade. It isn't out in the air like mine is so no ugly thing hanging off the battery area. Hmmmm?
1983 R65LS - LRB still my favourite!? 1988 Honda NX250, "Toodles Too" and a Suzuki DR650, "Calypso." All stored in the "Brrrmmm Closet".

Yep. I would have stood there and ogled the bike for a long time. What a nice restoration........ The cases make the bike for me, just jaw dropping stunning.

Very close to my first Beemer which was a 100% bone-stock Silver toaster.

Hi Sue,

I don't know where it went.  Out ina breeze is nice for these things.  Now that they have a Electronic ignition for this set up I might consider switching.  The voltage on mine is not very stabile for reasons I cannot figure out.

My Omega ignition is getting old but is still working just fine but Rick wants a lot of money to upgrade the components from 400 to 450 watt.
